Four Hornets Named To NTL Boys Tennis All-Star Team

Four members of the Wellsboro Boys Tennis team were named NTL All-Stars last week.
Senior Lucas Cuneo, junior Luke Rothermel, sophomore Mason Brill and freshman RJ Doughtie all made up the team.
Cuneo and Rothermel were both 1st team picks while Brill and Doughtie were 2nd team selections.
Head coach Andy Borzok was proud
"Luke is a junior, played 1st singles, was a team captain, and is a 3 year starter. He finished 8-7 in regular season play and played highly competitive matches against the best players in the district.
"Lucas is a senior, played 2nd singles, was a team captain and a 2nd year starter. He finished 13-3 in the regular season and is a very talented athlete who could have played the 1st singles position on many other teams.
"Mason is a sophomore who played 3rd singles and was 14-1 in his first full year as a starter. He's a highly determined athlete who we counted on for big wins.
"RJ is a freshman and a 1st year starter who finished 5-1 at singles and 8-6 at 1st doubles. He's a steady player who improved tremendously over the season."
