Evans and Russell compete in District Doubles match

The doubles team of Ashley Evans and Taylor Russell competed at the District IV Doubles Tennis Championships Saturday in Williamsport.
The duo started the day off with a win against Cowanesque Valley's team of Marisa Kump and Courtney Schauer 10-7 to reach the opening round but then lost to Bloomsburg duo Olivia Fry and Ivy-Rose Kramer in the opening round 6-2, 6-3.
The team of Kiana Acorn and Raisa Rogers lost to Selinsgrove's second team of Sara Moyer and Liza Smith 10-2 in the preliminaries.
